Winners of the Google Play Awards 2016!
So after a long period of waiting, a whole year in face, the winners of the Google Play Awards 2016 have been announced and Houzz have been declared the winners of the best app award.
The team from Google Play have emerged from where it is they hide having selected a variety of quirky apps, some of which aren’t your typical mainstream hits, and have declared them victors of the kingdom, or at least winners in the eyes of Google Play. Best Early Adopter: Wam takes advantage of the technology within your device to bring you a world guide in the form of augmented reality. Pointing your camera at the world brings you so much information and it’s a deserved winnr.
Best Go Global: Another puzzle grabs and award with this app. It’s a fun puzzle game that combines strategy and entertainment as you win battles by matching monsters.
Most Innovative App: Time to begin an exciting adventure through virtual reality. NYT VR is absolutely fantastic, and extreme innovative making it no surprise it’s took home the award.
Best Use of Design Material: Robinhood is a great app for stock traders of those who want to get into the stock market. You can build up your own personalized watchlist and within a few taps actually trade on the market.
Best Indie App: Challenge your brain by creating words with the different lettered tiles you have available. The longer the word the more points you can get. It’s not only a great puzzle game but a fantastic way for kids to learn spelling and improve the language skills.
Best Use of Google Play Services: This app is gorgeous. Absolutely beautifully designed and comes with gameplay that is smooth and a real pleasure to enjoy.
Best Standout Startup: With Hopper you can get notified when airfares change price allowing you the chance to save up to 40% on your travel costs. It’s a fantastic little tool and well worthy of an award.
