Preparture – The Perfect Travel Companion
Those of you that travel a lot will understand the need for something that can help you find things from time to time. I’m a big backpacker and I love to travel, unfortunately, I didn’t know about Preparture on my last adventure but it is certainly something that’ll find a place on my Android tablet going forward.
The app is rather simple, select your mode of transport, put in a location that you intend to visit, where you are currently, a particular interest you might be looking for (so restaurants, accommodation, activities etc) and a general departure time. That’s pretty much the basics you need to input and in return, you’ll be greeted with all of the information at your fingertips. The app will figure out the best method of transport for you, how long it might take to get from A to B and much much more. Even better you can get the results in a ‘map view’ so that it can be a lot easier to figure out where you’ll need to go.
If you do travel or intend to travel, I would highly suggest not overlooking Preparture as it can and most probably will become an invaluable tool for you on your adventure. Arriving at a new place can be scary, especially if you venture off to foreign lands where language barriers could prove to be problematic. Preparture, however, removes a lot of the stress and worry that you might be facing. It also comes in handy if you arrive somewhere pretty late and don’t like the idea of traipsing around the streets with all of your gear hoping to find a reasonable hostel.
Of course, it’s not limited to just backpackers or travelers, you might just want to find an array of cafe’s nearby or discover a new restaurant. Preparture is pretty great at what it does which allows it to be versatile enough to cater for an array of different audiences.
