The Best Way to Follow and Enjoy the Olympic Games!
Everyone loves the Olympics. Countries become all patriotic and go crazy when their athletes win a medal, and rightly so. It’s an incredibly prestigious event but a lot of us might be too busy to watch all of it. But do not worry, as Google has you covered.
That’s right. Google. You might be wondering why Google is a better choice than a specific app and the answer would be because Google is an absolute monster in the world. For the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, you’ll be able to “Google” Olympics news and you’ll get all the top, new information at your fingertips. This means athlete bio information, leader boards, tallies of medals and loads more, all in the palm of your hand.
But of course it doesn’t stop there (it is Google we’re talking about) and they’ve sent their little team of camera experts to map out the venues and stadiums for the events which you can see up close and personal on Google Maps. A little fun fact for you. So far I’ve mentioned Google seven times in the last two paragraphs alone!
Rio 2016 Olympic Games
If you’re going to download any Olympic-related app, it should be this one. It won’t bore you with statistics and information and schedules (you can already get top-quality service from Google for that) so instead it lets you enjoy the thrill of participating in certain sports. It’s a great game where you can choose from six different sports – Football (soccer) – Tennis – Archery – Skeet – Table Tennis – Basketball. You can then play your way to the gold medal in any of those sports. It’s fun, it’ll get you excited for the real thing and it’s completely free.
Rio 2016
The second (and only another app mentioned here today) is the official Rio 2016 app. You can follow the torchbearers around Brazil in real-time and is full of information. In honesty, it’s not the most user-friendly app out there. You’re limited to choose just three different sports to track and we all know there are loads more than that but let us not complain too much for you can’t really enjoy the Rio Olympics without trying out the official app made especially for the event.
