How to See the Exact Time Your WhatsApp Message Was Read

One of the great things about WhatsApp (and also a rather annoying thing depending on the circumstances) is that you can know when a message has been delivered and read by your friend. This is useful as you can find out who is ignoring you for long periods of time!

You might not know however that you can find out the exact moment in time that your recipient read your message. A cool little feature indeed.

WhatsApp Mobile:

It’s incredibly easy to figure out when your message was read in just a couple of simple steps. First of all, this will only work if both you and the person you’re talking to have “Read receipts” set to on. Then, all you need to do is find the exact message you’re interested in and long-press down on it for a couple of seconds. Then at the top of your screen you should see a little (i) icon. Tap on that and it will tell you when the message was delivered and read.

WhatsApp Web:

Now you might not know that you can use the little social app on your computer too. You’ll need it on your Android device first, then from the apps main screen tap the 3 dots in the top right-hand side. From there, tap on “WhatsApp Web” and go to the browser site. Scan the QR code and away you go. Once you’ve got that set up, find the message and click the on the arrow in the top-right hand corner. Click “Message Info” and you’ll find the information you need.
