TikTok has become one of the most popular social media platforms in recent years, with millions of active users worldwide. The app is well-known for its short-form video content and its ability to showcase users’ creativity and talent.
Like its competitors Facebook and Instagram, one feature that has helped keep TikTok on top is the live streaming feature. Live streaming on TikTok allows users to engage with their followers in real time and share their experiences, thoughts, and talent with a live audience.
For someone to use the Live feature on TikTok, the user must be over the age of 16, which is determined by the birthdate provided while creating your TikTok profile. To start a Livestream on TikTok:
- Launch TikTok on your Android device
- Tap the plus (+) icon located at the bottom of the page
- If you have met all the above-mentioned conditions, scroll through the menu at the bottom of the screen to find and select LIVE
- On the LIVE page that appears, type a title for your live to attract more viewers
- Tap the GO LIVE button to begin your live session
- Your followers will now be able to join you on your live stream. Your device’s camera will be able to record your activities throughout the live session.
