How to Activate WhatsApp without Verification Code

By default, when registering a WhatsApp account, you require a working phone number that will receive a verification code. The verification code is used to verify that the number you are using exists and that you are the one using it. If the verification process is successful, you will proceed to use WhatsApp services.

However, if for some reason you cannot use your phone number to verify WhatsApp, there are some workaround techniques that can help you to activate your WhatsApp. You can use some third-party apps or services to help you activate your WhatsApp app. This piece highlights how you can activate your WhatsApp app without a verification code. Using TextNow to verify WhatsApp

TextNow is a third-party online messaging app that provides you with a unique number that you can use to send and receive text messages. You can use the TextNow-issued number to activate your WhatsApp. To do this:

• Download and install the TextNow app on your device

• Launch the app and follow the initialization steps

• While on the launch page, note down the phone number generated by the app

• Launch WhatsApp and proceed with the verification process

• When asked for your phone number, type in the number from TextNow

• Wait for the WhatsApp SMS verification to fail. An option “Call me” will appear. Tap on it to receive an automated call from WhatsApp

• Navigate back to the TextNow app and wait for the call from WhatsApp

• Receive the call and write down the code that will be mentioned on the call

• Go back to WhatsApp and proceed to input the code and continue with setting up WhatsApp

Using an Existing Landline to Verify WhatsApp

You can use your existing and working landline to verify WhatsApp. To do this:

• Launch WhatsApp and proceed with the verification process

• When prompted to enter your phone number, enter your landline number

• Wait for the WhatsApp SMS verification process to fail. A “Call me” option will appear. Tap on it to receive a call from WhatsApp

• Your landline will ring, receive it and listen to the code

• Enter the code on the WhatsApp app and continue with the initialization process once verification is successful.
