How to Edit Sent Messages on Telegram
Telegram like any other social media platform allows its users to send and receive text messages among other media files. Most often than not, you may send a message with a typo or that is missing some critical information. When this happens, you would be tempted to rewrite and resend the same message with the correct information.
However, Telegram has a feature that allows users to edit already sent messages. This means that after sending a text, you can go back and edit it before resending it. The edit message feature in Telegram is available for messages sent in both individual and group chats. Once a message has been edited on Telegram, they have a label “edited” to alert recipients that the message has been edited. To edit sent messages on Telegram:
- Launch the Telegram app on your Android device
- Open the individual or group chat that you wish to edit a message
- Locate the message that you wish to edit. Tap and hold on the message until a toolbar appears at the top of the page
- Tap on the edit icon from the toolbar
- Edit your message to your liking and tap the checkmark button when done
- The edited message will now appear with an “edited” label.
