How to Cancel Telegram Premium Subscription on Android
Telegram has a premium subscription that allows users to access more features than on the standard app. Such features include up to 4GB upload file size, faster downloads, and animated emojis among others. To enjoy the premium services On Telegram, users are required to pay a subscription fee; either monthly or annually.
In a previous article, we discussed in depth what Telegram premium is and how to use it. After subscribing and using Telegram Premium for some time, you may feel that you do not need the premium services anymore and would wish to cancel the subscription. Canceling the Telegram premium subscription means that you will revert to the basic Telegram app. This piece highlights how you can cancel Telegram Premium subscriptions on Android.
To cancel Telegram’s Premium subscription on Android:
- On your Android device, navigate to and open the Play Store app
- While on the launch page, tap the profile icon located at the top right side of the screen
- On the menu that appears, tap on Payments and subscriptions
- On the page that appears, tap on Subscriptions
- All your active subscriptions including Telegram Premium will appear on the next page
- Tap on Telegram to open the Manage Subscription page. Tap the cancel subscription button at the bottom of the page
- You will be redirected to another page where you will need to give your reason for cancellation. Tap the Continue button when done
- On the next page that appears, tap the Cancel subscription button to confirm the cancellation.
