How to Hide your TikTok Account on Android

TikTok has become one of the most popular social media platforms worldwide, allowing users to create, share, and view short videos. While it’s an excellent platform for entertainment and self-expression, there are times when you might want to keep your account more private.

Whether you’re looking to limit who can see your content, interact with you, or find your profile, hiding your TikTok account can give you greater control over your online presence. To hide your TikTok account on Android:

• Launch the TikTok app on your Android device

• While on the launch page, tap the profile icon located at the bottom right side of the screen

• The profile page will launch. Tap the three horizontal bars located at the top right corner of the screen.

• On the menu that appears, tap on Settings and Privacy

• On the page that appears, find Privacy and tap on it

• While on the privacy page, tap on Suggest your account to others

• Tap the toggle buttons next to the three options (Contacts, Facebook friends, and people or sen links to you) to deactivate them

After deactivating the options, your account will not appear as a suggestion on other people’s accounts. Also, while on the Privacy page, you can set your account as private, where only users you approve can follow you and view your videos. However, setting your TikTok account to private will not affect your existing followers.
