How to Send Disappearing Voice Messages on WhatsApp

As demand for disappearing messages increased, WhatsApp later introduced a feature that allowed its users to send disappearing photos and videos. In a previous article, we discussed how one would send disappearing photos and videos on WhatsApp.
Just recently, WhatsApp introduced disappearing messages for voice notes. Just like for photos and videos, WhatsApp users can send “view once” voice messages that disappear immediately after the recipients listen to them. The disappearing voice messages are marked with a view once icon to notify the recipients. This piece highlights how one can send disappearing voice messages on WhatsApp.
To send disappearing voice messages on WhatsApp:
- Update your WhatsApp app to the latest version
- Launch WhatsApp and navigate to the chat that you wish to send the disappearing voice message
- While on the chat, tap and hold the microphone icon located next to the message box to start recording your message. If the message is long, swipe up to lock the recording.
- When done, tap the pause button to stop recording
- Tap the “view once” icon and ensure it turns green to activate the disappearing message feature
- Proceed to send the voice message by tapping the send button.
