How to Log Out of Facebook Messenger
What can be more annoying than Facebook forcing users to download the Messenger app to chat with friends? The answer is easy: Creating this app without including an option to log out of it. That is once connected, you are connected… forever!
That’s right, Facebook Messenger does not offer you the logout button. Outrageous as it is, please do not despair! With the tutorial below you will be able to disconnect from this app when you want:
1. Close the Messenger (if it is open) and remove it from your ‘Most recent apps’ list.
2. Then go to “Settings” and select “Apps” or “Application Manager” depending on the device.
3. Click the Messenger option, and then click “Clear Data”.
When you are finished, go to the Apps folder, click on the Messenger and you will see that the application will not open automatically. However, to start it up again, it’s not necessary to log in but simply click on the name of your profile.
If you want to hide your name too, you will have to log out from Facebook as well because both FB applications are interconnected. Once you have gone through this process, even if another user wants to access their Facebook messages via your smartphone, just click “Switch Account” and enter the relevant data.
So, will give another chance to Facebook or do you prefer other alternatives to chat with your friends?
