Country Comparison: How Much Time We Spend with Electronic Devices
Have you ever thought how much time you spend every day with electronic devices? 1 hour or more? Well, let’s have look on average time spent working or using electronics across various countries. Can you find yours?
If you thought ‘around 1 hour’ forget it. In fact, most people spend between 300 to 600 minutes a day using an electronic device. The leaders in technology use are, quite surprisingly, users in Indonesia and Philipines. Without seeing the chart, would you imagine it differently? We sure are surprised that users in Vietnam surpass the US in time spent with electronic devices.
Interestingly, smartphone seems to be winning the battle for attention. Take, for example, Japanese users who, on average spend almost twice as much time on their smartphone in comparison to the PC.
Russian, Slovak, Czech and Polish users of electronic devices are the only countries that on average spend more time on their laptops or PC rather than on their smartphones. However, even here the difference amounts to just a few minutes.
What does this mean? Yes, you are correct: Smartphones rock… and their usage and owner base is growing every year. In 2104, smartphone user base was 1.75 billion. What about today? Did we pass the 2 billion benchmark?
