No more spamming: WhatsApp Adds Auto Delete Messages for Group Chats
In a bid to make WhatsApp better, engineers work hard to introduce new features that will be beneficial to the users. Just recently, WhatsApp introduced the delete-for-everyone feature that helps users delete unwanted messages that they send to each other. It has now been noted that the latest WhatsApp Beta version introduces an option for auto-delete messages for group chats.
With the new feature, group members in WhatsApp groups can set for their messages to auto-delete after a specified period. To use the auto-delete feature in a WhatsApp group, you will be required to either be an admin or a member of the group.
The auto-delete feature will work like WhatsApp statuses or Facebook stories that disappear automatically after 24 hours. The only difference is that WhatsApp group members will be able to auto-delete their sent messages after an hour, a day, a week, a month or even after one year.
The auto-delete feature for WhatsApp group messages will be introduced as a way of saving users’ storage space and to prevent spamming. This feature will also be useful when WhatsApp group members wish to share some information but do not want it to be available forever.
When the feature is finally rolled out in the normal WhatsApp version, group members and admins will be able to auto-delete text messages, videos, images, voice notes, and documents that they send to the group.
