In their recent update, WhatsApp introduced a secret menu that acts as a shortcut to the app and allows you to perform certain actions quickly. With the secret menu, you do not have to open the app to access the camera function where you can take photos or videos to upload on your Status. To find the secret menu of WhatsApp:
- Update your WhatsApp app to the latest version
- Instead of tapping the WhatsApp icon once to launch the app, tap and hold on the WhatsApp icon
- On the pop-up menu that appears, you will view the camera shortcut, and below it, three of your recent WhatsApp chats.
- Tap on either the camera icon to access the WhatsApp camera or on either of the chats to quickly access the messages in the chat
