Whatsapp: How to activate same account on multiple phones
One thing with WhatsApp that usually gripes people is the fact you can only be logged in to one account on one device. That means if you have a dual-sim or if you have two devices that you want to use WhatsApp on, well quite frankly you can’t.
Now while there isn’t a complete fix on how to use one account over multiple phones, there is a way you can work around it. It all involves WhatsApp Web.
So first things first, let’s assume you have two devices. Android One and Android Two. Android One is your main phone that you use. This one has WhatsApp installed onto it and is connected to your number. What you’ll want to do first is open up Google Chrome on Android Two. Tap the three dots in the top-right hand corner and tap on “Request Desktop Site”. Then navigate to web.whatsapp.com (you may need to request the desktop site again for it to work).
It’ll display a QR code for you to scan. Now of course you can’t scan the QR code with Android Two so we’ll need to get Android One out to play. Open WhatsApp and tap the three dots in the corner. Find the option for “WhatsApp Web” and then scan the QR code which is on Android Two right now.
Your account from Android One is now logged onto the browser of Android Two. It’ll require you to keep an Internet connection on Android One for it to work, but now you can just head over to the web version and continue your social activities on there.
