How to Securely Hide Your Files, Photos and Apps on Android
We allow our devices to become a vault which is full of our personal information. This includes photos of vacations, special memories, events, loved ones etc, as well as a wealth of apps and files. Some of these apps could contain your banking information or the files could include incredibly personal data.
Whatever the contents of your device, it’s probably wise not to let your device fall into the wrong hands. Of course there are things you could do prevent people from gaining access to your confidential information. We’ve found 3 apps, each with their own specific purpose to help you protect your media.
Keepsafe Photo Vault – Hide Pictures And Videos
The first app on our list is Keepsafe Photo Vault. This is designed for the purpose of keeping all of your photos safe and sound from prying eyes. It also lets you hide your videos too which can be very useful if you like to record your kids or loved ones but want those memories to stay private to you. Once you’ve installed the app you can set up a password which prevents access and acts as a security measure against anyone – friend or foe – who might try to access it.
File Hide Expert-Hide Pictures
Now while File Hide Expert can technically hide any of your content, it’s best used for hiding files. When you first load the app up you’ll be greeted with a screen which shows an empty folder. From there you can navigate to all of your folders and content and can select what you want to add to the hidden folder. Once you’ve done that we strongly recommend that you go into the settings of the app and select password protection. This will ensure that nobody can then gain access to the app and change what is hidden.
Nova Launcher
Nova Launcher is what we suggest for hiding your apps and games. It’s also an absolute must-have for anybody who likes to customize their devices. The app is packed with themes and wallpapers and can transform the entire style of your Android. Once you’ve installed it you can access the settings and tap on “App & Widget Drawers” —> “Hide Apps”. This will let you select which apps and games you want to hide from public eyes.
